Jordan Brand is one of the most exclusive clubs in sports. This year, they have added 4 players to their already stacked NFL roster.
Bills All-Pro WR, Stefon Diggs, reigning Super Bowl Champion Bucs linebacker Devin White, Browns wideout Jarvis Landry and #4 overall pick Kyle Pitts are all now members of the Jordan family.

Stefon Diggs is coming off a career year in Buffalo, catching 127 passes for 1,535 yards and 8 touchdowns. Diggs has solidified himself as a top wide receiver and on April 2nd, Diggs officially became a Jordan Brand athlete.
Over the past couple years, Diggs has had one of the most impressive cleat repertoires in football. In college at Maryland, Diggs wore Under Armour cleats. Once in the NFL, Diggs was a “cleat free-agent” until 2018, when he signed with Adidas. Diggs teamed up with incredible artist, Mache, creating cleats inspired by memes, television shows, music artists, and some of Diggs’ favorite movies. Some of my personal favorites were the Spongebob cleats, the Young Thug cleats, and Chucky cleats. The canvas for these 1of1 cleats was the Adidas Adizero 7.0 and 8.0, some of the lightest cleats in the game.

Then in 2020, Diggs was traded to Buffalo and was once again a “cleat free-agent”. This time around, Diggs chose to wear the the Nike Vapor Edge 360 Speed and continued to get them customized by Mache. We actually covered one of my favorites in our Top 10 Cleats from My Cause, My Cleats article.
Now that Diggs has joined Jordan Brand, we are going to see even more cleat heat. Jordan athletes are typically given PE (player exclusive – gear created to the exact specifications of the athlete) cleats and gloves. But, Diggs and Mache will still be working together, just on a different canvas. For this season, the Jordan athletes will be getting Jordan 5’s. Diggs has worn low-cut cleats his entire career, so we can assume he’ll wear a low-cut Jordan 5 this season. We’ll be waiting impatiently for what Diggs, Mache, and Jordan bring to the gridiron this year.

Devin White and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off an incredible playoff run, capped off with a Lombardi trophy. White’s rise to become one of the top defenders in the NFL opened the door to a become a Jordan contract player.
Devin White came out of LSU in 2019 as the 5th overall pick. He wore Nike gear at LSU. With the Bucs, he’s worn the Nike Vapor Speed 3/4 cleats. These cleats are pretty outdated so Devin has to go through popular Ebay seller @GameTimeHeatCleats to get his. He has been so loyal to these cleats so it’s hard to believe he’ll be in something different next season.
Now that Devin White has joined Jordan Brand, we’re going to see him pull out some different gear. Jordan has featured the 1, 3, 7, 9, 10, & 11 silhouette on NFL cleats recently; this year they’ll be featuring the Jordan 5. We can expect to see Devin White in some beautiful Bucs pewter and red.

Jarvis Landry is another player on this list who takes his gameday swag very seriously. “Juice” has been killing the equipment game since his days at LSU alongside the Swag King himself, OBJ. Juice was drafted by the Dolphins late in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft and quickly rose to prominence, both culturally and as a wideout.
With the dolphins, he did most of his damage wearing the Nike Vapor Carbon Elite 2014, one of the most legendary cleats Nike ever produced. Like Diggs, Jarvis has also worked with Mache to customize some of his cleats. Juice and Mache have pushed the envelope the last couple years with crazy custom cleats, sometimes even just for pre-game. He has had several designed to look like Kobe Bryant basketball shoes and a pair to honor the late great emcee Mac Miller.

Juice even tried to wear a pair of gold and orange custom Nike Vapor Untouchable Speed 3s, but the NFL uniform police forced him to change them out at halftime. (How is that still a thing?)

Now Jarvis Landry is going to be rocking Jumpman. Juice was already one of the guys with the most cleat heat and this is going to elevate his game even further.
Jordan Brand welcomed Kyle Pitts to the family with a photoshoot and plenty of Jordan gear. via Air.Jordan.com
Kyle Pitts was one of the most electrifying talents in college football last season. Pitts racked up 43 catches, 770 yards and 12 touchdowns in only 8 games for the Florida Gators this past season. Pitts is a freak athlete – 6’6″, 245 pounds, runs a 4.44, and is a bona fide playmaker. The Falcons scooped up the future superstar at 4th overall, and expect them to plug Pitts into Matt Ryan’s offense immediately.
In college at Florida (one of the 5 Jordan branded schools), Pitts wore Jordan football cleats and gloves. He wore a combination of Jordan (Nike) Vapor Untouchable Pro 3s and Jordan (Nike) Alpha Menace Elite 2s. Both models have solid ankle support which is perfect for the speedy tight end.
Kyle Pitts will continue to carry the Jordan torch in the NFL with the Falcons. It’s incredibly rare for Jordan Brand to sign someone before they’ve even taken a snap in the NFL but Kyle Pitts is that guy. I expect him to wear a Jordan 5 mid – likely with the Nike Alpha plate. The Alpha plate is a little bit wider, has longer studs, and perfect for ‘Big Skill’ players like Pitts. The design team is going to have a lot of fun creating Pitts’ PEs because of the Atlanta Falcons/Michael Jordan‘s Bulls color scheme. I’d love to see them bring some of the classic Jordan ‘Breds’ for Pitts.
Who are you most excited to see in Jordan this year?
